Mexico is found in the northern part of the Americas. It shares its northern border with the United States and the southern border with Guatemala and Belize. To the east lies the Gulf of Mexico and to the west, the Pacific Ocean. The territory covers approximately 1,964,375 km, which is divided up into six travel regions:

Northern Mexico. It is known for its extreme weather, deserts, natural reserves and contrasting geography of mountains that cut across this expanse. It is also known for the industrial and business-oriented nature of its cities.

Central Mexico. The heart of Mexico. Here you can discover abundant natural scenery, picturesque towns filled with color and festivity and beautiful colonial cities that have been declared World Heritage Sites.

The Gulf and Southern Mexico. With shorelines on both the Gulf of Mexico and the Pacific Ocean, this region is abundant in swamps, mangroves and jungles, ideal for those who love ecotourism, excitement and adventure.

The Yucatan Peninsula. Doorway into the Maya World and where you can find beaches with white sand and turquoise blue waters of the Caribbean. Scuba dive in the cenotes or in the Great Maya Reef, the second largest reef in the world.

The Pacific Coast. In this region, find cities and towns with rich cultural and gastronomical heritage, as well as the best beaches for surfing, fishing and other water sports.

Baja California Peninsula. In this region, there are world-class golf courses. Discover the underwater treasures of the Sea of Cortez and witness grey whales, breaching the surface.

You can also discover the diversity of Mexico in each of its 31 states (plus a Federal District), which offer a number of tourist destinations where you can do all sorts of activities.
