Distrito Federal
A valley fortress, consisting of mountains, hills and volcanoes, Mexico-Tenochititlan is a city that was built on top of a lake and for over five hundred years, has professed a great culture. It is now a great capital that has colonial monuments which, in their time, marked the beginning of a new era. Home to some of the most unique buildings on the American continent (such as the Castle of Chapultepec), it is also one of the cities with the most number of museums in the world. This is a capital of diversity, making it another Jewel of Mexico.
