The hot land of this state is best known for the cacao bean, first produced in this region. Of Olmec and Maya origins, the state of Tabasco conserves the crafts of its ancestors, especially through embroidered pieces. It is where the Usumacinta and the Grijalva Rivers originate, making this state an exceptional Jewel of Mexico.
